I am a Music Teacher at Liberty Union-Thurston Elementary School and the writer of EmilysKodalyMusic.blogspot.com.  I recieved my Undergraduate degree in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis from Capital University, and have completed my Masters Degree in Music Education with an Elementary Kodaly Emphasis, also from Capital.  I am a life-long learner and love attending workshops, conferences, and more, even if they are out of the country.  The summer of 2013 I went to the Kodaly Institute in Kecskemet, Hungary for 3 weeks of classes in conjunction with the International Kodaly Symposium and would love to go back! In the summer of 2017, I got my Orff level 1 certification and it gave me so many more ideas and tools for my room.  I LOVE teaching elementary students and could not have found a better school to teach at.  I married the best guy ever in December 2014 and we have 2 children- Henry and Hazel!  Other hobbies include community musical theater, various community choirs, sewing, and scrapbooking.
